Well, it's that time of the year again when everything is looking sunny in life. I've had a couple fruitless months to begin the year but it's time to take the bull by the horns and start focusing on the present.
Also I intend to post more often because I owe you gratitude in keeping me in the fight. Thank you for your patience.
Ok, so here is what I'm going to do: Win tournaments. It means that I am going to commit more time to practice, working out and eating right. Even thinking right. Positive.
It's not like I'm trying to say I have all the answers. In fact, I could even take suggestions. I'd love to hear what works for you when you hit the funk.
Who knows, maybe I'm just trying to get you involved. Make some goals for yourself, let's just kick it up together!
Alright, it's good to be back. I'm going to hit the gym now.
By the way, we are playing the Hard Times-Mezz 10ball Open. Check out live stream attheactionreport.com
You might have missed it yesterday, Efren Reyes kicked my butt, lol.
Well, I've made it before from the losers side.
Happy New Beginnings!

I like that kind of post! Lets work together to keep ourselves motivated and in the zone. Good luck Ice Man.
Nice chatting with you the other day. See you in Vegas.
You are a very thoughtful guy Mika. Kind of remind me of myself...Not afraid to mention a complete thought...I enjoy your blog very much...Thank you for it...When I hit a funk, man, I don't know, I usually get a little pissed off at something and that motivates me to work at it...but as far as my pool game goes...I sort of thought I got to a point where I had a pre-shot routine that would allow me to run racks...but that did not turn out to be the case...because I am not at that point yet...and I had a really competitive game in my APA 9-ball match where it was neck and neck and I had ball-in-hand and missed the ball, and my opponent ran 4 and out and I lost...I mean, talk about shooting yourself in the foot...so I am recovering from that...I mean I have been going to the pool hall and practicing every day...so it was really a downer to have ball-in-hand and miss it...no real excuse for that...it is probably a good thing I did lose given that blunder...I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the story if you have time. You can email me at dewc@me.com. David
Oh yes, and your comments on the Dan Tien tells me you have studied Eastern Traditions...I have been taking the martial arts pretty much my whole life, but now I just take Tai Chi for health purposes from an instructor who is currently in China and will be returning to the States in July. Have been meditating for about 14 years now...a really great way to center oneself...
There's one particular suggestion that I like to give everyone, but I'm sure you got it already covered. The thing is, for optimal performance and learning, you need adequate sleep. It's best if you have a fixed sleep schedule, because it helps you fall asleep faster and your sleep quality increases. As a touring pro, this probably presents some challenges to you, but it's something that a pro needs to take into account.
Anyhow, seeing how you have a healthy lifestyle in general, you probably already get enough sleep. But if not, that's something you could focus on.
I wrote a little article about this on my blog for anyone who wants to know more about it. The article is called Sleep more, perform better.
